Investment in new hotels marks the new edition of DECORHOTEL

Portugal’s hotel industry continues to show strong investment momentum. According to recently released data from AHP – Associação da Hotelaria de Portugal, Lisbon is expected to welcome 45 more hotels by 2028, while Porto is set to see the opening of a further 35 new establishments over the same period. These figures highlight investors’ confidence in the country’s tourism potential. Investment is also extending to other regions, including the Algarve, Alentejo and Central Portugal.

It is against this backdrop of growth that DECORHOTEL returns to Exponor, in Matosinhos, from 4 to 6 November 2026, bringing together companies, brands and professionals involved in hospitality projects, construction, interior design, equipment, products and services.

The development of new tourism projects and the renovation of existing establishments represent significant opportunities for architects, project designers, builders, interior designers, equipment suppliers and technology companies. DECORHOTEL has followed this evolution closely, establishing itself as the leading meeting point between supply and demand for solutions for Portugal’s hotel industry.

Over three days, trade visitors will have access to the latest trends and innovations in areas such as construction, furniture, lighting, textiles, technology, automation, sustainability and operational management.

The trade fair also provides a privileged environment for creating strategic partnerships and developing new business opportunities.

The growth of Portugal’s hotel capacity contributes significant value to the national economy, particularly through tourism, which currently accounts for 16.1% of GDP and generates €36.2 billion, while also creating new challenges in terms of urban planning, sustainability and the differentiation of the tourism offering.

DECORHOTEL promotes interaction between the sector’s various stakeholders, contributing to a joint reflection on the future of hospitality in Portugal. Throughout the event, a programme of seminars will complement the exhibition, encouraging knowledge-sharing and discussion of trends and topics relevant to the future of the industry.

The 9th edition of DECORHOTEL will take place from 4 to 6 November at Exponor, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the development of a more modern, efficient hospitality industry prepared to meet the demands of the market.
