More than 15,000 people visit major innovation and technology fair in Batalha
The latest edition of MOLDPLAS, the leading trade show for the industrial sector, took place from November 13 to 15 at Exposalão in Batalha (Leiria) and attracted more than 15,000 trade visitors. The event encompasses different thematic areas—3D ADDITIVE EXPO, i4.0 EXPO, and SUBCONTRACTING—reflecting the diversity of the more than 250 companies present at the event.
The organizers expressed satisfaction with the results achieved and confirmed that all objectives were met. The sustained interest from the specialized audience highlighted the vitality of a sector undergoing rapid technological transformation, with companies focused on efficiency, digitization, and new production models.
The next edition will take place exclusively on weekdays, a decision aimed at creating a more focused environment better suited to the professional pace.
The coexistence of various sectors within the same event generated heavy foot traffic between pavilions and facilitated networking for future business opportunities.
Amid precision machinery, innovative materials, and digital solutions, the event maintained a pragmatic tone that reflects the industrial strength of the Leiria region and the ability of Portuguese companies to adapt to new demands.
Next year, the organizers are preparing a new edition of EXPOMETAL, following the same format that brings together the 3D ADDITIVE EXPO, i4.0 EXPO, and SUBCONTRATAÇÃO sectors, consolidating the Central Region as an annual hub for the national industry.
