Porto to host Portugal’s largest food industry gathering again in November
The food industry continues to grow in importance within the Portuguese economy. It is one of the country’s most strategic sectors, generating €25.8 billion in turnover. It accounts for approximately 14% of the value added by the manufacturing industry and supports more than 300,000 jobs.
It is this ecosystem that will once again take centre stage at the new edition of EXPOALIMENTA and EXPOCARNE, at Exponor, in Matosinhos, from 4 to 6 November 2026.
For three days, Porto will become the essential meeting point for the entire sector, from production and processing to machinery, packaging systems, logistics and technology. Companies, suppliers and decision-makers will come together to do business and develop partnerships.
At a time when the sector is undergoing a period of transformation, innovation is no longer a trend but a requirement.
More than professional trade fairs, EXPOALIMENTA and EXPOCARNE are business and knowledge platforms, bringing together equipment, services and solutions that address the current challenges facing the food industry.
The 2026 edition will feature around 200 exhibiting companies, more than 400 brands and approximately 12,000 trade visitors. The programme will also include conferences, workshops and networking opportunities that promote knowledge-sharing and the creation of new partnerships.
