EXPOMETAL follows the evolution of metalworking exports in Portugal

The first edition of EXPOMETAL, the trade fair for machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials and technology for metalworking, got off to a flying start, bringing together more than 15,000 professional visitors and more than 5,500 registered companies.

The event has established itself as a meeting point for the metalworking and construction industry, providing a networking and business space for companies in the sector, with more than 100 exhibiting companies and 300 manufacturers, importers, distributors of machinery, equipment and services related to metalworking.

In addition to the exhibition, EXPOMETAL also offered a series of parallel activities, such as lectures, workshops and live demonstrations, giving participants an insight into some areas of the sector.

"The fair exceeded all expectations. It was a challenge that was successfully met, and this is mainly due to the strong dynamics of the companies. The metalworking sector is motivated to respond to the growth of the export market, particularly the French and German markets," said José Frazão, the event's promoter and CEO of Exposalão.

At the same time as EXPOMETAL, the 3D ADDITIVE EXPO and i4.0 EXPO were held, aimed at companies with technology proposals. "There's a great deal of progress every year, with companies presenting more new and very innovative proposals," he added.

Exposalão is receiving feedback from the companies and visitors who attended the event and is studying how to continue, promising more news soon.
