Architects and professionals present sustainable solutions in Lisbon
APAP and IF propose a discussion about the connection axes to the capital, from the Sul e Sueste Fluvial Station to the Departures Square of Humberto Delgado Airport, at 'Expojardim & Urban Garden'.
The city of Lisbon will be in the spotlight during April 7, 8 and 9, at FIL, which hosts the new edition of 'Expojardim & Urban Garden'. The exhibition that brings together companies with innovative solutions for garden, green spaces and urban furniture.
The presentation of sustainable proposals to connect the airport to downtown Lisbon is one of the major actions of the event - the contest 'URBAN SUSTAINABILITY CORRIDOR - from the port to the airport' - and has as mentors the Portuguese Landscape Architects Association (APAP) and IF-Ideasforward, a platform for architecture projects and their professionals.
The initiative challenges young architects and also seniors to participate "in a debate of ideas that promotes reflection on the axes of connection for the city of Lisbon, from the port to the airport, focusing on the axis Estação Fluvial Sul e Sueste - Praça das Partidas do Aeroporto Humberto Delgado," says the organization.
During three days, professionals from the sector will promote business, but also bring to debate pertinent current issues that include increasing community responsibility and commitment to ongoing climate change.
APAP is also responsible for holding the seminar 'The importance of green corridors and connecting axes in the urban network', which will take place during the first (April 7) and last day (April 9) of the event, at 2:30pm.
The exhibiting companies at 'Expojardim & Urban Garden' will also present their proposals through actions to discuss ideas with other professionals in the sector.
After two of absence due to the pandemic crisis, the 'Expojardim & Urban Garden' returns to FIL in Lisbon. This is one of the first events of the year and promises to bring together the major players in the market with proposals for garden, green spaces and urban furniture.
