Batalha. Portuguese stone businessmen discuss challenges for the sector's future

The fifth edition of the 'STONE' fair has already started. The fair has a hundred exhibiting companies, seizing the opportunity to showcase their innovations.

The STONE fair, the largest on the Iberian Peninsula, opened its fifth edition this Wednesday, June 1. This year, the fair brought together more than a hundred companies from the natural stone sector and several brands. The goal is to promote business and collect contacts from potential customers.

The first day of the event included the participation of the Mayor of Batalha, invited by ASSIMAGRA, to discuss perspectives on the future of the Portuguese stone industry and how companies can boost their business across borders. 

Reactions to the exhibition are very positive and highlight the diversity of opportunities available to visitors and potential customers.

STONE brought together organizations with weight within the industry, which dedicate their presence at the event to understand the reality of the sector and talk to their associates.

The second day of the event has a diversified program.

ASSIMAGRA invites Jorge Vala, Mayor of Porto de Mós, for the segment 'Talking with the President', at 10:30.

The Association Cluster Portugal Mineral Resources presents the 'Global Stone Congress 2023 - Start Up' (hybrid event open to the public). The action starts at 3 pm and lasts for two hours. Luís Martins (CRM), President of the Cluster, and Luís Lopes (EU), Member of the GSC International Organizing Committee, are the hosts.

The Seminar 'The New European Ecological Pact and the Challenges for Industry' will be chaired by Isabel Almeida, from ISCTE - Lisbon University Institute.

The launch of the 'GSC 2023', at 5pm, closes the second day of the event. The presentation is in charge of Marta Peres, Executive Director of Cluster Portugal Mineral Resources and Secretary General of the GSC.
