Arburg: "MOLDPLAS is the meeting point between our machine manufacturers and our customers. It is a very important gathering place for the market."

Arburg, a regular presence at MOLDPLAS, is returning to the industry's reference event this year, which is to take place next November, in Batalha, Leiria. Arburg's Managing Director, Martin Cayre, says that there will be a lot of news showcased. "We will have an electric technology machine with an integrated robot. And something else that we are still preparing". 

What motivates Arburg to attend MOLDPLAS' 2022 edition?

It is the reference fair for plastics in Portugal and the meeting point between machine manufacturers and customers. I think it is a very important gathering place for the market.

How would you describe the company's history of participation in the event?

We participate for more than 15 years. We have been attending for many years. Our goal is always to showcase the technological innovations to the market. We have showed electric machines in additive manufacturing and also automation solutions. I think it is important to show all these progresses to Portuguese customers.

What will you showcase this November?

We will have an electric technology machine with an integrated robot. And something else that we are still preparing. During the month of September everything will be ready to become available to everyone who visits the fair.

What are the objectives set for the current edition of MOLDPLAS? 

We can already see that there is a recovery in the molds market in Marinha Grande. In this year's event we hope that it will be a good opportunity for Arburg to present their innovations. Secondly, we want to talk to our customers about new projects to meet the market's challenges for next year and the next.

Arburg opened a branch in Marinha Grande. Are the results meeting your expectations?

We opened the building in  2019 and the balance is very positive. We now have new possibilities to do training courses for customers and show the new machine technologies. I think we can provide better support for customers in Portugal.
