AJP Motos: "The big news to be presented at Expomoto will be the special edition of the AJP PR7 commemorating its 35th anniversary and the two new concepts with electric motorization"

Aware of the current challenges of the sector, AJP Motos has actively sought to respond to the needs of the industry and customers in a constant way, presenting itself as a viable solution. The electric component is the order of the day and the Portuguese manufacturer has stood out by investing in this new market segment. AJP's Commercial Manager, Ariana Pinto, revealed the news that will be highlighted at EXPOMOTO: "The AJP PR7 special edition commemorating the 35th anniversary of the brand and also two new concepts with electric motorization".

How is AJP Motos keeping up with the upturn in the industry's activities?

AJP Motos faces this recovery and the new challenges of the industry in a confident and very expectant way. The important changes in the global supply capacity of accessories and parts felt by the industry in recent times, create huge challenges for manufacturers. We are increasingly developing and producing internally, the necessary components to maintain production and delivery capacity, given the high worldwide demand that AJP models have been experiencing.

What is the importance of AJP Motos' participation in EXPOMOTO?

The national market is always important, and as the only motorcycle factory in activity, we chose EXPOMOTO to present the new colors of AJP models for 2023 and also reveal important news for the brand, both nationally and internationally. This year we celebrate 35 years as a motorcycle manufacturer, and for this reason alone we think EXPOMOTO is the ideal place to share this history. 

What are AJP Motos expectations in relation to the fair?

We hope to welcome the thousands of visitors and lovers of two wheels in our space, with the expectation that we will be able to transmit to all of them, the enormous passion and dedication with which we produce all our models, in the conviction that some of our future clients will pass through there.  

What new features will be accessible to visitors?

Besides the new colors for 2023 in the entire AJP SPR and AJP PR7 range, we will have 3 new features: The AJP PR7 special edition commemorating the 35th anniversary of the brand, and also two new concepts with electric motorization. A clear look into the future of the brand.  

AJP Motos has seen a huge success with the PR7 model. What are the strong points of this new model?

The AJP PR7 is currently considered to be a unique bike in the world off-road scene. Designed and developed for adventure, combining an ultra-light steel and aluminum hybrid chassis, with 48 mm Sachs suspension and a Sachs shock absorber. The high range and a compact, powerful and reliable engine are the perfect combination for many kilometers of adventure. 

What other motorcycles will be featured during EXPOMOTO?

No doubt that the new electric motor models should catch more visitors' attention, essentially for being something out of the ordinary for the followers of the brand, essentially focused on the production of motorcycles for off-road use. But the 35th anniversary version of the PR/ should also attract visitors' attention for the differentiation in equipment and decoration used.

How did AJP Motos face the challenges brought by the pandemic?

These last few years have been very positive for AJP. The growing network of national and international partners has guaranteed a high number of orders. The global constraints due to the pandemic caused delays in the supply of parts from some of our international partners, which has not allowed us to finalize and deliver some models. This situation has caused some delays in the delivery of motorcycles, but that has been understood by partners and customers, since it is something generalized in the automotive sector internationally.
