Representatives for the major chains discuss sustainable solutions for packaging
Professionals from Aldi, Auchan, Jerónimo Martins Group, Lidl and Sonae discuss new ways to reduce environmental impact in business activity in an initiative promoted by FSC Portugal. The action will take place at the 'Tecnipão & Packaging' fair, on March 29, at FIL, in Lisbon.
The reference fair of the baking and pastry sector, 'Tecnipão & Packaging', debuts in Lisbon and promises relevant debates on current issues. Among them is the discussion on the search for sustainable solutions for packaging for food consumption.
FSC Portugal proposes the debate "FSC® Certification: sustainable solutions for packaging", which will bring together at the same table professionals from the major chains, namely, Elke Muranyi, Director of Corporate Responsibility (Aldi), Alexandra Madeira, Head of Environment (Auchan), Fernando Ventura, Director of Efficiency Projects and Environmental Innovation - Directorate of Environment (Jerónimo Martins Group), Catarina Bettencourt, Head of CSR & Sustainability (Lidl) and Patrícia Martinho, Sustainability Project Manager (Sonae).
The organization aims to promote responsible forest management, and through certification of the value chain, to ensure the sound management of products from forests, and other sources (e.g. recycled material).
The action will take place at the 'Tecnipão & Packaging' fair, on March 29th, at FIL, and is part of the several initiatives scheduled for the fair.
