Portuguese political figures attend SAGALEXPO

SAGALEXPO – Flavors of Portugal, which takes place between April 28 and 30 at FIL – Lisbon International Fair, is preparing to welcome some of the country's leading political and institutional figures, reinforcing the fair's strategic role as a platform for the internationalization of Portuguese food products.

The presence of political decision-makers from various quarters highlights the recognition of the importance of the agri-food sector in the national economy and its impact on exports.

Confirmed institutional visits:

April 28 (Monday)

  • 10:00 a.m. – João Moura, Secretary of State for Agriculture
  • 11:00 a.m. – Rui Rocha, President of the Liberal Initiative
  • 12:00 p.m. – José Manuel Rodrigues, Regional Secretary for the Economy of Madeira
  • 4:00 p.m. – André Ventura, President of Chega (visit to be confirmed)

April 29 (Tuesday)

  • 10:00 a.m. – Frederico Falcão, President of ViniPortugal
  • 10:00 a.m. – Mariana Vieira da Silva, Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party
  • 10:30 a.m. – António Filipe, Parliamentary Group of the Portuguese Communist Party
  • 12:40 p.m. – António Ventura, Regional Secretary of Agriculture of the Azores
  • 4:00 p.m. – Luís Marques Mendes, Candidate for the Presidency of the Republic

SAGALEXPO is a privileged space for promoting Portuguese food products and brands to international buyers, with more than 400 national exhibitors and foreign delegations in attendance. The 2025 edition reinforces the ambition to project the “Portugal” brand on the global agri-food scene.
