Batalha. Portuguese stone businessmen discuss challenges for the sector's future

The fifth edition of the 'STONE' fair has already started. The fair has a hundred exhibiting companies, seizing the opportunity to showcase their innovations.

OSM: "We believe that the partnership between OSM and Stone is increasingly consolidated indicating good indications for the future"

OSM is dedicated to the development of machines for extractive industries and construction. Innovation has been one of the references to mark its difference and impose itself in the sector. The company's participation in Stone is seen as a means to make its new proposals known to the market, said Luciana Ferreira, Communications Department.

Modelstone: "We are looking forward to the results that can come with our presence at the fair".

The company debuts at Stone to present its new segment of sintered slabs. Modelstone has in its portfolio a wide variety of stones, namely "granite, quartzite and marble".

New edition of 'Stone' kicks off June 1st with a flood of prestigious companies from the sector

In addition to the exhibition, ASSIMAGRA and the Cluster Portugal Mineral Resources Association are proposing initiatives to discuss the sector's current challenges and outlook for the future.

Mocapor: "The opportunity to be back at the only exhibition in the country entirely dedicated to stone is a reason for celebration".

Mocapor operates different quarries in the regions of Santarém and Algarve, providing the world market with different products such as blocks, slabs and tiles. The company has 9 own quarries, 2 stone transformation factories and 1 exclusive showroom. During the participation in Stone, Mocapor will have in focus "the natural stone in a specific environment and for our representation of Laminam surfaces, in another shared environment", revealed COO Francisco Luís.

João Correia Neves, Secretary of State for the Economy: "The quality of the raw material and the national historical knowledge are the foundations of the success of this industry and of its global affirmation".

The stone sector has contributed exponentially to the affirmation of the country in the world. The Secretary of State for the Economy praised the STONE fair, which will take place between June 1 and 4 at Exposalão, in Batalha, highlighting its importance for bringing together the various professionals and companies in the sector.

Jorge Vala: "STONE has evolved a lot, not only growth in size, but in quality.

The Mayor of Porto de Mós spoke about the importance of the stone industry for the municipality and applauded the realization of STONE, as a key event to boost the sector.

MB Stone: "We have chosen to be present at Stone and we will try to take advantage of it. We will present our product".

Present in the world of natural stone for over a decade, MB Stone - Marbles & Limestones seeks to respond to each project in the most appropriate way taking into account the needs. From the vast catalog, it has several types of marbles and limestones of the finest quality, which will be presented in the next edition of Stone, says the company's manager Eduardo Catarino.

Present in the international market, namely the United States of America, France and also the United Kingdom, the company aims to direct its bet to the United Arab Emirates. For now, the company will present itself at STONE and showcase the current project it is developing for the city of Lisbon, revealed Alzira Antunes, CEO of Gárgula Gótica.

With over 30 years of experience and know-how, Limeport highlights the current moment as being decisive in its strategy, with the development of new business models and emphasis on investment in creativity and product development. In the next edition of STONE, the company will present its innovations. "New products developed at the level of own unit extraction," stressed CEO Luís Sousa.

Construal: "Participation in STONE is an asset because it allows us to present our products and reach more customers".

Preparations for the fifth edition of STONE, which will take place from June 1 to 4, are already in full swing.
